Q: What scares you?
A: Rejection. Someone asked me this very recently (His name in my phone is “paul tinder”. All lowercase). Rejection and failure terrify me, to the point where I prickle up at the slightest hint of rejection in the air. I get tense and sweaty. I feel like my friends hate me. It’s actually kind of a problem.
But beyond just social situations, my fear of rejection stops me from a lot. It’s the reason I don’t submit writing to publications. It’s the reason I don’t take my clothes in to sell at the vintage store in Denver. It’s the reason I haven’t posted my ootds until now.
2022 is the year I stop letting my fear of rejection stop me from doing things that will bring me happiness, success, and (hopefully) money.
